Holliday and Harden for Rios and McLouth

Postby baseballfreak3135 » Tue Apr 21, 2009 12:11 am

5x5 keeper league, normal infield, 3 general OF, 1 utility.

I get Rios and McLouth for Holliday and Harden. Here is my roster:

M. Napoli
A. Gonzalez
I. Kinsler
E. Longoria
M. Tejada
A. Soriano
J. Dye
M. Holliday
J.D. Drew
M. Bradley

T. Lincecum
G. Perkins
B. Fuentes
M. Capps
F. Francisco
R. Harden
R. Romero
T. Cahill
E. Jackson
J. Danks
R. Oswalt
E. Santana

Good deal for me or no? Basically it comes down to what kind of seasons you think Harden and Holliday will have. Thanks guys.

Forgot to mention, it's a 12 team, 9 player keeper league.

Seems like you can do away with some pitching. How is your team performing so far?, if i were you i would sit on the team because it looks promising but if you are geting smoked in hiting i would go for it. Holliday is injured prone as well.

I'm first after two weeks. My pitching is tight, but some of the younger guys will likely lose some of their numbers as the advanced scouting reports get out on them. My only worry is if I'm giving away too for the steals. I mean, I get the OF to replace Holliday, plus a reliable Util (Drew and Bradley too injury prone). You think the power numbers from McLouth and Rios are good enough? As I said, I might lose some pitching mid-season, but I tend to be a little more up on pitchers then others in the league plus I have waiver priority. Thanks guys. Oh yeah, the last thing: he's overloaded at OF (got Braun, Hamilton, and Sizemore, and he already dealt Hart...yes, he has the 3 top OFs...).

The thing to remember is that Holliday was not a 40 hr guy in CO ... he was a 25 hr guy last year. take his game to oakland, and i'll be generous and say he remains a 25 hr guy, but we all know it could dip. So Mclouth alone covers that and I see Rios returning to 20-28 hr form.

So pretty much everybody in favor of the deal? Any dissent? I mean, I agree that it looks like a win for me, I just want to make sure I don't blow something. :)
