Trade Percy Before His Arm Falls Off? WHIR

Postby jmcampbe11 » Mon Apr 20, 2009 9:02 pm

Other team is looking to trade for a closer. Should I try and move Percival before he gets hurt or loses the job? Are any of these trades worth considering?

TRADE 1 (If this is unrealistic, what if I include Broxton instead of Percival?)
Give-Alx.Ramirez, Gallardo, Percival
Get - J.Santana, Jeter

TRADE 2
Give - Percival and R.Johnson
Get - E.Santana

TRADE 3
Give - Gallardo and Percival
Get - Sabathia

MY TEAM - 10 team roto (3 keep three players each season)
C-Martin 1b-A.Gonzalez 2b-Phillips ss-Alx.Ramirez 3b-Longoria MI-J.Lopez CI-Reynolds
OF-Sizemore, Hamilton, Dye, V.Wells, Ad.Jones Util-Crisp or Kubel
SP-Gallardo, Greinke, Nolasco, Lilly, R.Johnson, *Smoltz
RP-Broxton, Qualls, Morrow, Percival, Ray, Arredondo

If trade 1 involves you getting J. Santana... DO IT NOW! A. Ramirez is a good player but Santana is Santana. Stop reading this now and go accept that trade.

I say you do trade 1 now!

You get J.Santana and get Jeter to replace A.Ramirez. You know Percival is gonna get hurt so do this deal before he gets hurt getting out of bed.

Good Luck,

Would you still make trade 1 if it was Broxton instead of Percival?

Yeah, trade 1 is a must do in my opinion. However, if for some reason that falls through, I'd like to see you take either of the other deals, with trade 3, being next and trade 2 being last. I happen to think Ervin Santana will be fine, so I like it, but I could see the argument for not making it.

I would try offering trade #1 first and see what happens. If the other owner does not except than I would try trade #2. You really can't loose with any of your 3 offers. But I would try to see if you could pry Santana fist!

Thanks for the help with mine!

I like them in the order you have them listed because I think E. Santana will have a great year when he comes back. All deals are nice for you just offer them in the order I mentioned.

please help

Trades 1 & 3 seem unrealistic. Trade 2 seems do-able.
