Trying to rid myself of Berkman... WHIR

Postby theinflatinator91 » Mon Apr 20, 2009 2:10 pm

10 Team H2H League... I know it's early but I am getting a little weary after the way he ended last season. This is a friend league and the guy that had Berkman last year has shown interest in him.

Would you help me devise a trade for him? The trade that started it off was Berkman/Lilly/Porcello for Morneau/Kazmir. He has yet to counter it. What do you think of it?

I like that deal for you, but don't think it will get it done. Why don't you try offering something like: Berkman/Krenshaw for Morneau/Kazmir. Try selling him on Kaz's injury past and the high ceiling for Kren...esp in the NL and that crappy divison (16+ wins).

I would be tempted to try and upgrade 3B as well, looking at Votto/ARam. Ramirez's injury seemngly hasn't stopped him hitting for power too too much, and I don't know if Scutaro can maintain. Maybe try a Berkman/Scutaro/(likely need to add a pitcher). You never know, he may bite on Scutaro's hot start, and you then get established for that hot start.

If that goes nowhere, your on the right track with trading a pitcher and Berkman for Morneau+1.

I would make that trade in a heartbeat. However I am a big Wainwright guy so I might ask for him instead of Kazmir.
