I can assure you my vacation had more to do with a side trip to Petco than me falling into a coma over the once-filthy Scouser-turned-Madridista-turned-faux Geordie, Michael Owen signing for United. I've come to terms with Owen coming over, knowing he's worth a punt for practically nothing. He's still a good poacher, as long as he doesn't tweak a hamstring when he trots out on the pitch.

If you've got him on a pay-as-you-play contract, then he's worth the risk IMO. As long as he shows a bit more effort for your lot than he did in the last 6 months for us...

Exactly, he doesn't carry any risk and although he missed a few sitters for you lot, Owen is still fairly efficient. The only worry I have is United will be stuck with the same narrow rotation up front like the year after Ruud left. We also had a Michael Owen of our own named Louis Saha in those days too.
Still nothing but trash articles. Sorry ad, give it up.
