Hong Chih Cuo??

Postby cstorms » Sun Apr 19, 2009 12:41 pm

I am in a holds league and just picked up Cuo. Is he hurt or something? I love that he has Sp, Rp eligibility cuz i just pop him into an unused SP spot and have three closers on top of him. Should I just hang onto him? His tag says Torre is going to keep him out of pressure situation until he gets it together. Anybody have any news? thanks

I just dropped him in my holds league. Granted, the people I play with aren't supercompetitive with middle relievers so there are plenty of options left on the WW. You read it yourself. "Out of pressure situations" doesn't sound like he's going to be seeing many hold opportunities in the near future. If Belisario does well in the short-term, he could cement himself as the new #1 set-up man. Though maybe it won't be as bad as it sounds. Kuo might just delegated to lefty-specialist - which might mean still getting holds, but more of them of the 1-batter variety. Though if he's going to be used as an "innings eater" in blow-outs, that'll be hard. I guess we'll have to see how this week unfolds to know for sure.

Dropped him for Chris Ray just now. Another roll at the craps table!

He's been too good to be this bad for any extended period of time. I expect him to bust out of this slump as well.
Looking forward to back to back championships in 2011!

I draft Kuo because of the SP/RP eligbility and thought he was a prime setup/closer in waiting guy if Broxton faltered but ended up dropping him. I read somewhere.....it was about 2 weeks ago and i cant recall from where but most likely rotoworld.......that he has a lingering injury and it is really going to mess with his effectiveness and the ability to pitch in back to back games. I dont think he will be close to the pitcher he was last year.
