As a Markakis owner I would take this deal. Everything you read about Holiday's numbers being hurt by going to Oakland seem to be true. I know its early but Holiday's numbers away from Coors Field give you an idea of what he is going to do this year. He is still big time talent but a guy like Markakis is just as valuable in my book, especially in a 4 yr keeper.

I'd take Markakis, but don't forget that Holliday is a candidate to get traded if Oakland struggles this year.

Id definitely take Markakis. He will rock this year in the Os lineup. He hit a ton of doubles last year and that often heralds an increased HR total the next year in a budding slugger. 2 Years >>1 year. Hope this helps.

The years left on their contract make it for me. Gotta be Markakis. If you had another year of Holliday outside of OAK, I would easily go for him, but you're paying for his Oakland service and that makes it an easy choice.

You guys are missing part of his post. The other guy is also NOW asking for Hermidia to be included. thats why I said Yes to a one for one but to sit back and wait the other guy out.
