Postby bluekryptonite » Sun Apr 19, 2009 7:48 am

Hey guys, I'm in a 12 team 5x5 standard roto league and I just made the following trade: my David Wright, Ichiro Suzuki, and Yovani Gallardo for his Ryan Braun, Jason Bay, and Chad Billingsley. I like the deal, Billingsley should have a big year. Wright/Ichiro for Bay/Braun is fairly close, getting Billingsley may the trade pretty solid for you.

Not me. I think guys like Wright only come along once in a while. Outfielder are much easier to come by and so is pitching. I know I own Wright and it would take more then that offer to pry him lose from me. But thats me.

I like it. Basically you are replacing Wright and Damon with Braun and Bay. Wright is slightly better but I think the upgrade from Damon to Bay is greater than the downgrade from Writht to Braun.

I dont do this deal. Your losing a lot of SB here as well as BA for an upgrade in power...while the extra HR will be nice I will take the SB and AVG every day of the week. The upgrade from Gallardo to Billingsly is nice but I would rather have the Wright and Ichiro side of the deal.

I like the deal for you. You have to give something to get something, and over the long Haul...the two hitters you got are better than the ones you gave up. It will play itself out.
