Would you trade Aramis Ramirez and Chris Duncan for Edwin Encarnacion and Francisco Rodriguez? Probably not, but could I do a counter-offer to help my pitching? I was hoping to get an SP as well but there is not much there except Lowe? Any ideas would be fantastic. 5x5 Roto:

My team:
C - Jesus Flores
1B - Joey Votto
2B - Dan Uggla
3B - Aramis Ramirez
SS - Hanley Ramirez
OF - Chris Duncan, Justin Upton, Nyjer Morgan
Util - Cody Ross
BN - Chipper Jones, Colby Rasmus

SP - Yovani Gallardo, Max Scherzer, Jiar Jurrjens, Ubaldo Jimenez, Jordan Zimmerman, Doug Davis, Eric Stults, Franklin Morales, Mike Hampton
RP - Chad Qualls

Other team:

C - John Baker
1B - Travis Ishikawa
2B - Freddy Sanchez
3B - Edwin Encarnacion
SS - Cristian Guzman
OF - Randy Winn, Fred Lewis, Ryan Spilborghs
Util - Skip Schumaker
BN - Geoff Blum, Michael Bourn

SP - Johan Santana, Derek Lowe, Dave Bush, Scott Olsen, Jorge Campillo
RP - Francisco Rodriguez, Jose Valverde, Mike Gonzalez, Matt Capps, Carlos Marmol

Thats a tough one I'm guessing it is a deep league...... Anyone on WW? Marlins seem to have some good underated pitchers.

If not I would try and deal Chipper and maybe Hampton for Jose Valverde and maybe Olsen. Definatly not an easy descion

It's 12 team NL, so there really isn't anyone good on the wire. Especially not any of the Marlins starters.

Well Chipper is your biggest trading chip. You can wait until he is healthy again then deal him becuase well all know he won't last.

is this a keeper league?

if it isn't, what do you think about Upton + (one of your lower SP) for Lowe? the other owner has no real impact players in the OF
(he might go for it or laugh at you - just an option, i didn't want to contribute nothing to this thread)

but i wouldn't trade ARam

Id say this is very hard to do without hurting the rest of your team. if you plan to trade chipper (as many people talked about above)...id surely wait until midway though this week--let him get a dozen ABs under his belt...hopefully having a good average one day or a HR or something--then id look to move him IF you want to trade him at all....if not, id try a combo of nearly any of your SPs to get Lowe...minus your top 3 guys or so...but mainly id say you need a closer--though the deal offered is something you clearly cant do--u are giving up way to much only for some extra saves. can you grab K Rod for your closer plus a decent bat...or maybe Ubaldo?? your team looks strong enough to stay as it is for a 5 x 5 league---there clearly have to be weaker areas but your team looks like youll win most categorys on most weeks!

I'm not in love with Lowe. How about Chipper and Flores for Baker and Valverde? Is Hanson owned? Maybe make a speculative bid on a young arm who hasn't been called up yet.
