Drop Scott Baker for Aaron Hill?

Postby pappymojo » Sat Apr 18, 2009 11:39 pm

C J Baker
1B L Berkman
2B Alexei Ramirez
3B Aramis Ramirez
SS Jimmy Rollins
OF Carlos Lee, Corey Hart, Magglio Ordonez
Util Adam Jones
Bench Chris Davis (1B, 3B), Wieters
SP F Hernandez, Grienke, Nolasco, Josh Johnson, Bedard, Wainwright, Scott Baker, Javier Vazquez
RP Fuentez, Heath Bell

So I'm not ready to drop Alexei but he's killing my average and I'm ready to bench him.

Besides, I am crushing in starting pitching. Am I just being stupid?

You can spare to drop Baker...and could use Hill's hot bat right now.

Please help me:

I think Aaron should be universally owned, he is 2 years removed from a monster season and the only reason he didn't repeat is injury. So this is a good pickup for you.

I should add that in the first week, I had 85 K's (with Baker on the DL) and the next highest team had 56. This week I already have 68 K's (with Vazquez still to start today) and the next highest team has 45. I think I'm going to do it even though Baker should be a solid contributor this year, but I would like to get some more feedback from the cafe.

Alexei has 5 hits for 40 at bats and he is really dragging my average down.

Thanks guys.

Thanks for helping with mine,
I think you have to make this move. Although I do like Scott Baker I think it would be risky to depend solely on Ramirez for the rest of the season. I'm not completely sold on him...and with Aaron Hill still available this is a good opportunity to get what I believe will be a really solid 2B.

Yeah, I would ride Hill out for the time being, go ahead and drop Baker.
