The second article in the Double Dipper series, which covers two-start pitching options for the upcoming week, is now live on the front page. Check it out and let us know what you think! As always, you can post comments in the Article Discussion thread or in this thread. We'd also like you to e-mail us questions at fbcmailbag@gmail.com, and some e-mails will be featured in Monday's Mail Call column.
Don't know about the rest of you reading this, but I'm not starting Perez against STL or WAS, both of these teams are ripping the cover off the ball (although WAS can't buy a win).
A lot of weekly leagues have Monday lineup deadlines, so I'd like to hear any other suggestions from the Cafe community today before the deadline passes. You've heard my suggestions, but I'm not an expert by any means; I'm just giving you guys my opinion on the Double Dipper candidates that could potentially do well. Does anyone else have some insight? A reason to pick Washburn, Parra, Oliver Perez? Let's here it now.
Purcey has some decent matchups. Anibal Sanchez will be tested with the Mets and the Cubs. Sanchez has pitched very well so far (I wrote about him in my sleeper article 2 weeks ago ) and if he can carry his momentum through both of his starts this week, that would be quite impressive IMO.
