Stephen Drew leaves game

Drew was out of the lineup for a second straight day Sunday after suffering tightness in his left hamstring Friday, the Diamondbacks' official site reports. "We just want to be careful," Drew said. "You don't want to tear it."

Recommendation: No specifics regarding his possible availability for the upcoming week yet, so consider Drew day-to-day.

According to the Arizona Republic, Stephen Drew was available to pinch hit Monday night.
Drew is expected to fully return to the lineup at some point during the Diamondbacks' current three-game series with the Rockies. He injured his hamstring Friday night against the Giants and hasn't played since. -ROTOWORLD-

SS Stephen Drew (left hamstring) did some pregame running Monday but was held out of the starting lineup for the third straight game after feeling a twinge while running out a ground ball in the third inning Friday at San Francisco. "We don't want it to linger. That's why we're taking care of it now," Drew said. Melvin expects Drew to start Tuesday or Wednesday.

Should be a typical hammy issue..day to day to day..ugh.

At this point I suggest picking up a backup of some kind. I just swapped Iwamura for Aviles (2b/ss) to carry me through plus give me that flexibility even after for off days.
