Kinsler trade

Postby wkpdpack » Fri Apr 17, 2009 9:37 pm

12 team keeper league, 5x5 roto scoring

Was offered Hamilton and S. Drew for Kinlser and Ad. Jones. That's a lot of stolen bases to lose while gaining in HR and RBI's. BA is a wash in my mind. Do I make the trade and look to pick up steals when I demote Milledge to my minor league bench? I could also try offering Kinsler and Fukudome for Hamilton and S. Drew. Or, do I keep Kinsler and hope he stays this HOT?

He upped his offer to Hamilton, Drew and Lind for Kinsler and Ad. Jones. Do you think I should counter with Hamilton, Drew and Hart to get some SB in return for Kinsler and Ad. Jones.

His team:
C Flores, Teagarden
1B K Morales
2B Uggla
3B Blalock
SS H. Ramirez
MI S. Drew
CI Loney
OF Hamilton, Cruz, Lind, McLouth, N. Morgan
P B. Anderson, Cahill, F. Francisco, Hanrahan, Josh Johnson, Kazmir, Nathan, Nolasco, An. Reyes
Bench Bonifacio, Leo Nunuz, Chris Perez
Minor: LaPorta, Tabata, C. Bucholz, Bumgarner, Hanson

My team:

My team:
C Navarro, Snyder
1B Howard
2B Kinsler
SS Furcal
3B Gordon
SS Furcal
MI Aviles
CI Morneau
OF Braun, Kemp, Granderson, Ad. Jones, Fukudome
U Greene
P Bell, Billingsley, Blanton, Greinke, Millwood, Percival, KRod, Scherzer, Wellemeyer
Bench Cl. Lee, Ad. LaRoche, Milledge (will send him to minor league bench)
Minors: Fowler, Rasmus, I. Stewart, G. Sanchez, Smoak

I don't think I would do this deal. You already have plenty of power from Howard, Morneau, Braun and others. I would stick with the speed...

Oh, no question: don't do the trade.

I've got Kinsler on my team, and by all accounts, he could sustain a pretty fantastic pace this season. It'd take a LOT to pry him away from me, and with the balance your team already has, I don't think you'd benefit from the trade that's been proposed to you.

In fact, I'd advise you to hang onto that whole offense. I like the looks of that lineup!

Thanks for the help with mine! ;-D

Thanks for the help w mine.

I would stick with your guys. I like Kinsler over Hamilton and I view jones and drew ass fairly even. I also think u have a well balanced team as it is

Kinsler will likely miss time again this year but while he's in he's right there with Utley for best fantasy 2B in the MLB. Jones I think can come up with a 20/20 season but of course he's not going to stay this hot.

Like you said you'd lose a lot of SBs by doing this while gaining in HRs and RBIs (which you really don't need). I think you'd be getting the slightly more talented side but it just doesn't fit your team very well. I wouldn't do it.

I would however trade Kinsler and Fukudome for Hamilton and S. Drew if you can get him to go for that. That's just too good of value to pass up.

Hang onto Kinsler here... valuable position, and helps you in many cats.

While Kinsler is this hot, you can basically take your pick out of the league. You should be the one offering up trades for what you want/need. If you need speed then there is no reason to go for this.

hmmmm...although I like Hammy and the power you'd be getting, I don't think you need it. I'd stick with Kins and the steals...which are harder to come by from a productive player.

Thanks for mine!!!

I agree with rr... Kinsler in that lineup is SOOOO deadly. He will hit you 20 HR's.. that's enough power. I think he and Utley are a wash as far as production at the 2B position. So, I keep the top 2B.

Just dealt Kinsler and Ad. Jones for Hamilton, S. Drew and C. Hart. How did I do?
