I like the trade. Oswalt is a great SP, but the Astros will STRUGGLE big time this year. I think he could have a year like John Smoltz did in 2007... have like a sub-3.00 era but only 10-12 wins. I like Vmart this year b/c he should play more games than any other catcher. He will play half the games at Catcher and the other half split b/w 1B and DH. I don't think John Baker is your answer at catcher. He will bat 2nd vs. RHP but against LHP he will bat lower in the order.
I think Webb will be ok.. hopefully.. if you hear otherwise, maybe you don't make this trade.

To be honest, I'm not the biggest Oswalt fan, but he has a big name, and you should be able to pull in someone better than VMart. You have a great pitching staff, but your hitting could use some additions. I just think you could get someone better than VMart.

I agree. Go for a better all around hiiter to plug into your UTIL slot.

Oswalt should get you 15-20 wins so I say stick with him unless you really need help on offf. and if you decide to trade him I think you could do better than Vmart

Thanks for replying to my post.
To answer your question, I don't think I would trade Oswalt. Be patient...Morneau and Carlos Lee's bats will wake up shortly to give you the type of power you're needing. Despite Oswalt's production not being what it was from 2-3 yrs ago, I still think you'll be able to get a better player in return than VMart.
