Jay Bruce Worth 4th Waiver Spot?

Postby felixthecat011 » Fri Apr 17, 2009 9:35 am

10 team, 5x5, non-keeper, and my outfield is already stacked (see below), but this would allow me to move a bat to address other areas (or shuffle Dunn to first where I currently have Konerko slotted).

I have the 4th waiver spot - should I try to burn it on Bruce?

Josh Hamilton, Tex
Matt Holliday, Oak
Carlos Quentin, CWS
Adam Dunn, Was
Jermaine Dye, CWS
Nelson Cruz, Tex

Who would you waive for him? And I don't think you should immediately put him into your starting lineup. Wait until he starts hitting before you make take that step.

yeah depends who you are dropping, if not someone amazing, i think always try to stack up on good players, they are at the very least trade able assets...thats my philosophy...

I would grab him despite your crowded OF. Once you have him, you could trade one of your other OF's for an upgrade somewhere to make room for Bruce.
