Granted, I am not a professional baseball person, I'm just a fan. But, it seems to me that if you have a sinker ball pitcher who can't make a pitch sink.......YOU DO NOT PUT HIM INTO A MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL GAME!!! There's more than a small chance he'll get rocked!! Was this performance a surprise? Here's a thought: let him pitch in a minor league game and work out the issues. These games in the Bronx mean something!
Well, starting Carmona in the two leagues I own him, turned out to be a good call. Sort of struggled with the decision for a bit, and came to the conclusion, even if he's not very good, Wang will be worse. In a matchup of sinker-ballers who can't find the strike zone, Carmona looked pretty decent.
