Vladimir Guerrero is out indefinitely with a strained pectoral muscle.
The injury hindered his throwing ability, which limited him to DH batter to start the season. An MRI revealed a strain right pectoral muscle. Guerrero will return to Los Angeles to meet with doctors to determine the next course of action. Gary Matthews Jr. and Mike Napoli would seem to benefit most from his absence.

Vladimir Guerrero will be placed on the disabled list with a torn right pectoral muscle, according to the OC Register.
Dr. Lewis Yocum determined from Thursday's MRI that Guerrero be re-examined in one month's time. That means that the star outfielder will likely be lost for the next six-to-eight weeks. It'll be interesting to see if the Angels now choose to bring up a third catcher and give Mike Napoli considerable time at DH. Gary Matthews Jr. and Juan Rivera will play right field. The Angels might have the worst offense in the AL now that their main bat is out for a while...
Tough year for the organization. Even though I am Rangers fan (a team Vlad ANNIHILATES everytime), I am sad for all the misfortune LAA has had to go through thus far this season!
Keep your head up boys!

I wonder if it's Brandon Wood time. Both Yahoo and ESPN are speculating this (via Rotowire):
With Vlad Guerrero going on the DL for at least a month, the Angels have to call somebody up on Saturday to replace him on the roster. Wood is a natural candidate - as long as the Angels use him as the DH. That he wasn't in the lineup for Salt Lake on Friday might be an indicator that he's on his way to Minnesota to join the Angels
but Rotoworld doesn't seem to think so per the posts above.
