Francoeur's the guy that's gotta go in this deal. Hurdle's going to get Corpas that job sooner rather than later. Drop Francoeur for Corpas.

Help with mine?

Drop Franceour for Corpas and then see how it goes with your saves total. If it looks like you need more play Corpas, if not play Scherzer. This way you also block someone from getting Corpas and his saves. I like Galaragga alot but just think Corpas will offer more to you.

Thoughts on mine please

I like this idea. I also like Galarraga over Lilly but I may be in the minority there.

Hold onto Ianetta. He'll come around. We're only 2 weeks in

On Yahoo today:

"Manager Clint Hurdle will reassess the closer situation between Corpas and Huston Street on Friday, Tracy Ringolsby of insidetherockies.com reports."

Recommendation: "I have a whole night and another day to figure things out," Hurdle said. "I am going to look at the tape, see the location of pitches, where we were setting up . . . You can do a lot of things when it's the best for the team." Closer Huston Street has gotten off to a bumpy start in Colorado, earning a 13.50 ERA and an OBA of .563 in four appearances. Corpas, on the other hand, has been solid in four of five relief appearances in 2009, and Hurdle has been known to swap closers at the first sign of trouble. Time to put Corpas back on your watchlist.
