Reyes and Cabrera are risks because they've only played half of a big league season. They will probably be good, but you never know, and also you don't know how long it will take them. Although Reyes looks like he's ready.

"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
I'd have to agree with most of the other guys. Your team has potential, but alot of if's. You'll have no trouble trading 1 of your big guns or some stick. Good Luck

FYI, when I said ignore that last guy, I was talking about the guy who said "This is a terrible team". I agree that too many young risky players were probably taken too early.

Your pitching is very good for that number of teams, but you definately sacrificed on your hitting. I think that your outfield is alright and Gibbons should do well with Tejada around, he did hit like 26 HR and 100 RBI last year. You don't want Odalis Perez as a pitcher he just doesn't help you any. I think you got a steal with Sweeney, Blalock will be good, but you might look for another offensive player. Try going after a guy like Kearns or someone in that league that you could trade on of your lesser pitchers and hitters for. Overall I think you might finish around 4th or 5th, you just don't have enough hitting to get much past that.

you have tons of depth at 3b so it might also be possible to package blalock and get another big outfield bat or something like that. someone out there should be looking for good 3b.
depending on whats available you could look to replace durham or move reyes to 2b after 15 games and find a shortstop.
its just my opinion but i dont like carrying two catchers so i would say sionara to one of them. look for a sleeper like burnitz, phelps, or someone like that who might provide a little more punch in your line up. i cant give any specific recomendations because i cant view the wire since it is a private league.

Well I made my 1st trade. I gave Pedro and Teixeira and got Soriano. Fills 2nd base for me (and didn't have to give Reyes).
Teixeira was kinda a spare part with Sweeney/Huff/Gibbons all 1B eligible and Blalock/Ensberg/Cabrera at 3B. Now I'm kinda weak at SP. I'm in the process of trying to get Randy Johnson for Blalock -- Randy felll big time in the draft.

I'd like to get another SP because Graves probably isn't needed (at least to start), you guys think much of Weaver/Affledt/Benson for 2004?? Should I stay put or what moves should I make???
could turn out great, could turn out awful. when i saw it originally the only problem i saw was catcher. Everything else doesnt really look that bad. After about a week or two youll get the jist of how youre going to do this year.
