I am in an AL ONLY LEAGUE, 10 teams, 23 man rosters, 7 keepers with 3 year contracts, 5x5 roto style.
ARod was my number one draft pick this year so has 3 years on his contract. But, I want to win this year and need a better OF, a good CI, and adding another closer never hurts since I have 3 already and can use some as trade bait or just dominate the saves category.
So, I have been offered Johnny Damon(2 years on contract), Joquim Soria ( 1 year on contract)and Mike Lowell(3 years on contract) for my ARod. Is this a good deal for my team? I was thinking about countering and adding D. Price into the mix. What do you guys think?
can you use Cabrera at 3B? you need someone better at 3B than Bautista so Lowell would be needed there.
i dont usually like 3 for 1 trades because the 3 players dont usually add up individually as the one your giving up plus the 2 your dropping. i guess in this case its not bad. Lowell helps over Bautista who could be dropped. Damon would help over say Freel who could be dropped? you could counter and ask for Price along with the other 3? you might aswell counter and even if he says no you could go back to what the original proposal was.
Just to answer your question, no I can't use MCab at 3rd. He is not eligible in my league. Do I do the deal even without Price or do I need to ask for Price as well to do this deal?
