Bonifacio now only 3 for his last 20 with no extra base hits or SB over his last 4 games counting today. He's also K'd 7 times his last 11 AB...the bubble has burst now that he's not facing the Nats AAA calibur pitching. If you can sell high fast.

I hear you - but he's got another 3-game set with those same Nats this wkend - I'd hold and let that value climb a bit again.

The whole thing is a waste of time anyway, because I don't know anyone who'd actually trade for him - you're going to have to "sell high" to the WW unless he can sustain his production beyond one week.

but really... this was always a risk with Boni. The guy just doesn't have a track record for his current numbers at all, so the numbers dictate he's bound to come down to earth once the league starts catching up, which appears to be happening already with all these K's.

Smoke and mirrors are the words that comes to mind.
He has been extremely lucky with his Singles % to the point of sillyness (its over .500)
His real average is around .280 not the .436 you see.
He falls to earth soon..

I do not think anyone is surprised.
His past performance indicated this was a nice lucky streak.

I predict his average will come on down a bit to around the .260 mark as pitchers continue to establish a good book on him.


I still predict he will be the most dropped player by the end of April as I predicted on April 7th.

From most picked up to most dropped by the end of April.

i don't think so, this guy isn't for real, at least at the pace hes tearing off on... sell high for just about anything you can get, but guessing most people with half a brain will look at his career stats and minor league stats and realize this won't happen the whole year... top 25 MI haha yeah...

The bubble has not burst...Baseball is a game of averages...Noone will ever hit .400 again, that's pretty much a given, therefore Boni will come down to earth, but he will not fall off the face of the earth either...

He's got very good minor league numbers, very similar to Jose Reyes...in 635 minor league games, he stole 233 bases with a BA of .285. So he can hit for a decent average and give you tons of steals but not much more than that. Olster from ESPN wrote a piece on Boni comparing him to J.Reyes - - - that should tell you something!

He likely won't hit another HR this yr but that is not what you expect when you get Boni man, so sit tight and enjoy his SB's while everybody else is about to hop off his wagon!
