When setting your lineup which do you "weigh" more heavily:
recent performance (last 7 or last 15) -OR- batter vs. pitcher stats???
[The scenario is 2 equal players that play the same position one is on fire in the past 7 or 15 games, but with bad numbers vs. the probably pitcher and ONE with a cold bat, but amazing numbers vs. the probable pitcher... who do you choose?]
I wonder if there are any stats about which strategy works out better.
PLEASE SHARE YOUR OPINIONS. (and sorry if there is another thread about this).

unless the cold player is drafted in the first 5 or so rounds, i tend to ride the hot bat. especially when there is a large variance between how hot and how cold the respective players are.
