If Sandoval didn't sleep well, it wasn't because of the loss. Before the game, he told teammates that a door in his room opened and closed by itself in the middle of the night. The club stays at the historic Pfister Hotel, which dates to 1893 and is rumored to be spectrally active.
"What can I do?" Sandoval said. "It's 3 a.m. so I went back to sleep. I'm not scared."
A few minutes after batting practice, though, Sandoval sought out traveling secretary Kell King.
"I need a big favor," Sandoval said. "I don't want that room."

there was a play at the plate where he got roughed up a little bit earlier in the game. he shook it off and stayed in but once we got the big lead they decided to be cautious and sat him the rest of the game.

ya i wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt. i'm quite curious as to what the giants plans will be next year to bridge the gap to posey. will they offer bengie arb? sign him for a year to start until posey is up and then use him as a back up? will they just let bengie go and put pablo there to start the year?
i think the best way to go about it is to use pablo at catcher and then when posey is up have them split time at catcher. both can play other positions (so we could have both in the line up everyday) and it would help to keep them fresh and injury free throughout the season. it's obvious that a whole year in the crouch can lead to injury (see: joe mauer), so why not have them split time so they don't have to deal with the body break down from such a demanding position.
