I missed the draft in this league, and I have a pretty good amount of offense, but almost no pitching.
I'm trying to negotiate with another owner who missed the draft.
Yes, I realize Cabrera is tearing it up and Timmy has been pretty awful in his last 2 starts, but cmon ... I think we all know Lincecum will turn it around.
Would any of you guys give up Longoria or M-cab for Lincecum?
Batters
C: Russell Martin 1B: Miguel Cabrera 2B: Jose Lopez 3B: Garrett Atkins SS: Elvis Andrus OF: Matt Kemp Ryan Ludwick Carlos Lee Util: Troy Tulowitzki Daniel Murphy BN: Jay Bruce Evan Longoria J.D. Drew
Pitchers
SP: Brandon Morrow Erik Bedard Kenshin Kawakami RP: Mike Gonzalez Matt Lindstrom P: Kyle Davies Jordan Zimmermann Rick Porcello BN: Brett Anderson Johnny Cueto Kevin Slowey Jonathan Sanchez DL: Kelvim Escobar
I usually do, but I clipped my current roster with a bookmarker, and Longoria is actually not playing today.
Also, there are NO free agent pitchers out there. Maholm, Wandy, Baker are LONG gone. Dude, look at the pitchers on my team .... I grabbed what I could after the draft, very, very slim pickings out there.
The key with second tier SPs is picking their starts. You have alot of good options for SPs on a game by game basis. Stand Pat and then trade Atkins before he goes on DL or gets trades to a team with a good 3B.
Everyone keep trying to rip me off. Lincecum for M - cab was the fairest proposal i got. One guy kept trying to offer Billingsley for my Cabrera straight up.
I have no problem sitting on talented bats like Cabrera or Longoria, but I just wonder how long my Pitching staff can survive without an elite pitcher ........ BUMP, any other advice??
