Kemp/MYoung for Hamels??

I've got a stacked outfield in a 7x7 12-team rotisserie: Kemp, Bay, Dye, Hart, Cruz + plenty available on WW

Infield solid: Youk, Kinsler, Alexei, Delgado, MYoung, Soto...

My SP's, not so great: Billingsley, Kazmir, Buerhle, Lilly, Carpenter on DL

I've been playing Young at SS while Alexei sucks but I intended for him to be my backup SS/3B down the stretch, so he's movable. No luck packaging Hart+Young, Dye+Young or Kemp straight-up -- opponent wants Kemp+Young.


Would you trade Kemp and Michael Young for Cole Hamels? I'd be giving up some SB's, AVG and flexibility for a potential ace all year, need some help deciding. Thanks!!

In abstract, yes, but it seems like Kemp is only marginally more valuable than CHart (who I'd still have) and MYoung will be on my bench most of the time -- I'm leaning slightly toward saying Hamels may be more useful to my team.

Am I crazy?

If you really want to trade Kemp for an ace, I don't think you should be pursuing Hamels until seeing after a few starts if his velocity is back up to scratch. I'd stay away from this deal.
