Chris Young, Adam Lind, and Jordan Schafer WHIR!

Postby Texans621 » Wed Apr 15, 2009 8:52 pm

I currently have Chris Young, the OF for the D'backs that is. He hasn't really gotten off to the best of starts. Would I be wrong to drop him and pick up Adam Lind? I know Lind's numbers will return to Earth but even then is he better than Young? And then what about Jordan Schafer? I'm in a long term keeper league so he would have some upside for the future and might be serviceable now.

BTW, my other outfielders are.. Nick Markakis, Curtis Granderson, and Jacoby Ellsbury.

Thanks for the help, leave a link for your question and I'll be glad to help you.

i wouldn't drop chris young. i have him too, and i'm not thrilled about his performance thus far. however, i think schafer is worth a spot. he's the real deal. if you have someone else to drop to get schafer, i'd consider it. he's good for 2 hits a game so far it seems. he has some power too. i think his speed will surface when bobby decides to move him up in the line-up.

I will definitely pick Lind over Young (I am not a fan of Chris Young (OF)- I do not somehow believe his ability).
I do not know much about Shafer but knows that is a real potential guy. If you have Cruz (in your FA list), grasp him before too late also.

Thanks for the comment.

I'm not the biggest fan of Chris Young but his 20/20+ capability gives him more value than Lind and Schafer.

I'd go with Lind. He'll cool off, but I think he's reasonably in the same tier as Young anyway, so you might as well play the hot hand. Schafer is hot, but more of a prospect still. One to watch, but not one to drop talent for, in my eyes, anyway.
