Jack Cust (power & hitting well now) Nyjer Morgan (hitting well, no power but speed) Travis Snider (just not playing everyday, which hurts) Fred Lewis Brett Gardner (not a lot of power, but good hitter with speed) Chris Duncan (has started more games than any other Cardinals outfielder) Ryan Spilborghs Ryan Church Fukudome (interesting option: sporting a high avg. and good hit/at bat ratio)
Which one would you pick up as the best option????? I'm leaning toward Cust b/c of his power and the fact that he's a DH... less injury risk. However, some of the other guys are interesting. FYI, my other outfielders are: Braun, Chris Young, Daniel Murphy, Schafer, Francoeur **We start 4 plus a UTIL spot, which I've plugged an OF in so far.

I would go with Lewis out of this group. He will give you some help across the board and is in a nice rbi spot in the order. If you really just need the power than go with Cust but he will hurt your average
Lewis will give you help across the board, as previously stated. He's not the most attractive option, but he's solid. You can take the risk on Cust, and I don't think it would be bad..just be weary that with him and Young, your BA might take a hit as Young is a consistently poor hitter for average.
Thanks for your help. I would go Fuku. He's hitting in a great spot, for a great team, and he can help in all categories. I think he's going to have a great year with the Cubbies!
