Done shoot me because I'm a die hard Yankee fan! I'm one of those rare ones who roots for the Mets as my second team and have been going to Shea for at least one game a year for a long, long time. I won't make it to Citi until June, and was wondering if anyone here has had a chance to see it yet.
There has been lots of stuff on WFAN about the stadium being a shrine for Jackie Robinson and the Dodgers but should have had more about the '69, '86 team. It was like they forgot their own history.
Any reaction from cafe folks who have been there?
There are a few things with the New York Yankees that never change. That's pride, tradition, and most of all, we have the greatest fans in the world. -Derek Jeter, 9/21/08 -- last words from old Yankee Stadium
