I was offered Jon Lester for Josh Johnson straight up. Should I take it?

thats tough....the value alone says to go with lester. But i like Johnson a lot. He put up nice numbers the 2nd half of last year, and so far is doing it again. When in doubt go with the NL pitcher
I think that Johnson is coming close to being a stud. With the marlins on a role right now, I would say keep Johnson. Also, Johnson put up some great numbers at the second half of the season, which only means that it should continue.
For some reason, I am also not a huge Lester fan. He is always leaving wanting more from his performances.
Both are solid options. Johnson is super hot right now, but I really like Lester's upside. I like his K's, I like that he's on a strong, competitive team that can back him up with wins.
It's a flip of the coin for me, but I like Lester.
The reason he's offering Lester is the that both his starts have been bad...and his command was off in ST. Other than getting shelled for 5 runs in one inning, he wasn't bad the other night. I think he will settle down, and if the Sox start hitting (which they should), I think he has more upside. I'd do the trade. You have some great pitching anyway, so it can't really HURT you.
