Good singing, but I was distracted by this video response.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I was waiting for a Milli Vanilli moment that never came.
I feel really sorry for her that she's never been discovered until now. Hopefully she can make up for it by earning enough money to buy her village or something.
See the dollar signs in Simon's eyes? I did.

The look of shock of the judges faces was interesting...
"I do not think baseball of today is any better than it was 30 years ago... I still think Radbourne is the greatest of the pitchers." John Sullivan 1914-Old athletes never change.
Something about this really bothers me, not the clip itself but the reaction it's getting. The only other video from this show that I've seen was a couple years ago when some ugly, chubby guy with bad teeth sang his ass off in a similar manner. The shock doesn't seem to be coming from the fact that they are good singers, as there are a lot of good singers on these types of shows, the shock seems to be that they are ugly and good singers. As if it's so amazing and absolutely astounding that someone who isn't physically attractive could possess this kind of talent. To be clear, I think this lady is an amazing singer, and there would have been a reaction had she been pretty, or even "average" looking, but I doubt it would be all over the internet and on World News Tonight with Charlie Gibson (where I first saw this). People seem amazed that someone who is fat and ugly can do something other than sit there being fat and ugly.

With me it was because she looked like one of those weirdos who live in small country towns with 130 gnomes in their front garden. Those sort of people are NEVER good singers, but always seem to think they are. Nothing to do with her being ugly.
If you get what I mean.

Yeah, "ugly" may not have been the best word choice there. "Different," maybe? I don't know...I just think if this were a "normal," "attractive" woman, I would never have seen it, because it wouldn't have been played on American network news.

You're on the right track, though. It's normal human nature to "judge a book by its cover." People do it all the time, and it's often wrong to do so.
I didn't watch Office Space for years because the poster/box art looked stupid. I dismissed it out of hand, but it turns out to be one of my favorite movies ever.
