He strained something on the left side of his body. He was throwing his warm up pitches and tweaked something, he was grabbing his left side and they had to pull him. They're thinking it could be a rib strain or maybe an oblique injury, at least he wasn't grabbing his arm/elbow/shoulder and it was on his non throwing side. Still, not good news for my fantasy team :-t

yeah, while this is good in the sense that it's not an arm injury, he's still almost sure to take a trip on the DL. The bad thing about the rib cage/oblique is that it can linger for a while due to all the pulling and stretching in the area when throwing.

official word on Cards broadcast is left ribcage injury that occurred in his last at bat just before coming out to warm up. Supposed to be re-evaluated tomorrow, so we'll hear about whether he needs the DL or not then.
