Will he get OF or what? Is there space? Or will he be a OFBC (outfielder by committee)? Is he all hype??? What will Girardi in the long term? Thoughts?

as soon and you pick him up, he will revert back to normal and sit on the bench until the occasional pinch hit comes up

The peripherals from last year suggest he was extremely unlucky. The guy is in his prime at 28 is only a few years removed from a 35 HR season. He's mashing and pushing forcing his way into a spot in the stacked Yankee's lineup, especially if today's injury to Nady turns out to be serious. Given all this, Swish could be the breakout player of the year. ... or he could revert to the guy he was last year. I'd say he's worth the risk, particuarly if you have a just average bench player to drop.

nady's elbow injury didn't sound good ("serious pain") last night. just guessing but that sounds like more than a day to day thing, and if nady is out swish gets full-time ABs, which he was going to prob get at someone's expense anyway since he's been mashing. pick him up. he could be this year's ludwick (but a ludwick with a 35 HR season in his recent past)

I would make a play for him. Texeira is battling tendonitis and Nady has serious pain. As long as hey continue to be bothered by pain and Swisher swings a hot bath he'll make his way into the lineup. I think he is better then lat year suggests.
