Well according to a lot of reports that I've read, Milledge's attitude problem is out of control, he can't hit and he can't field right now. That he still has an option to be sent to AAA is a godsend for them. Whether he shows up at AAA or not is another issue.

He went in the 11th equivalent round (121 overall) in my keeper league which I thought was a bit early as well given the crowded OF and his lack of plate discipline.
Yeah, I thought he looked like a guy who appeared better in fantasy than real life. He's still much better than Kearns but not a guy I'm taking with a high draft pick.
i'm surprised the Nats org didn't make a post here at the Cafe.
Should we demote Milledge? WHIR...
I think they got tired of his antics in addition to horrible play on every side of the ball. They have a crowded OF and a guy with an option. This move makes sense.

Seriously though, if its true about his antics, then as I'm Met fan i totally understand where they're coming from. Dude has a lot of talent, but his attitude was the main reason why Minaya traded him.

Right now? He was barely above replacement level last year. He was below average at the plate and terrible in the field (although perhaps it's not his fault he was miscast in CF). He's got talent for sure, but it hasn't yet translated to the major league level.

It sure translated the 2nd half of last season. His talent is fine.
