12 team 5x5 standard roto categories, I had 9th pick overall. Here's the draft results for reference:

Yes, I know I reached for Patterson. I thought Nevin was a steal... then he forgets to use his hands when diving (stoopid bum).

Here's my roster:

C: J. Posada
1B: P. Nevin (I don't want to panic yet....)
2B: M. Giles
3B: E. Chavez
SS: A. Berroa
OF: B. Bonds
OF: M. Ordonez
OF: C. Patterson
Util: A. Sanchez
Bench: M. Byrd, A. Cintron, R. Winn

SP: R. Halladay
SP: M. Clement
RP: E. Guardado
RP: J. Julio
P: W. Miller
P: S. Ponson
P: A. Leiter
BN: R. Biddle, Jerome Williams

At 1B N. Johnson, Durazo, Conine, Casey are still available.

It feels like a well-rounded team to me, but I'm not sure it's a winning team. I'm just not quite sure where to start.

Agreed on Patterson, and I think Clement was a bit of a reach as well. I love the Winn pick, though - he's falling much too far this year. Definitely a gem in the last round. ;-D

In any case, I think you've hit the nail on the head: this is a nice, well-rounded team that's in a position to contend, but the league looks to balanced to even begin to call any team a winner yet. That'll depend mainly on in-season moves; I'd start by backing up 1B... :-)

yeah i think arlo is right. i would back up your 1B with nick johnson just in case. you have a very nice lil team there, your offense is nice and balanced, i like it.

only thing i would try and improve would be your SP. otherwise nice.
