Or is this a very good trade to propose. Don't think he'll go for it..
It's only an 8-team league, H2H. Rules are funky. All offense starts, no bench. So you need consistency. And no gimpy players. I'm going to propose My Kinsler, Morneau, Furcal, Ellsbury (or Bonifacio) for His Howard, Beltran, Maggs, Stephen Drew
As you can tell by my roster, I probably obliterate the league in steals. I need power. Kinsler's injury seasons scare me. Should I wait for his torrid start like last year then deal him? Even without getting a 2B in return, I have Cano. Or should I keep my guys? We count both OPS and BB.
Despite what other people are saying, I think I would do it. I see your dilemma with power numbers and if he accepts, I think it would be a smart move on your part ------ depending on what your scoring categories are. You definitely can trade away some speed.

The offensive categories are R, H, HR, RBI, SB, BB, Avg, OPS. Obviously losing Morneau and Kinsler will affect my .AVG and .OPS. But if Morneau is a 25 HR guy and not a 30 HR, then Beltran would equal that. Howard will obviously have more HR and way more RBIs than Kinsler.
Originally, I was going to trade my huge advantage in starting pitching for offense, but my pitchers are injured.
Anyone else?

Yeah, I still think you win. Drew is locked in the 3 - hole for the D-backs, and could have a breakout type of year, IMO. And, I think you can withstand Howard's low avg with the rest of the guys on your team .... his HR and RBI numbers will be crucial ... he does walk a lot, so his OPS ain't that bad either.
It certainly helps with the power issue, but does it need to be such a big trade? I feel like you are giving up some great all around guys (Morneau, Kinsler, Furcal) and getting more limited (Maggs is mostly avg, Howard is all power)...does it not even out? Could you find a one for one for a major steals guy like Ellsbury for a major power guy?

But who could I get for Ellsbury? Guys in my league won't treat him as more than a #2 OF. There really isn't a major power guy of his equivalent. There's Adam Dunn but he doesn't get you many RBI's. Unless you're talking about a Raul Ibanez as a major power guy.
