Thinking about picking him up if he has a decent 2nd outing. Would you drop Chris Ray, Manny Corpas, or Grant Balfour for him? I'm holding on to them hoping one of them earns the closer job and to bring down my averages (though they have my 3 worst averages)

I could also drop an offensive bench guy like Fowler or Kendry Morales.

not sure if davies is going to sustain that first outing... but keeping three would-be-closers on the roster is taking up space. of those you mentioned, i'd drop balfour first-- TB's pen is the deepest and theres no guarantee he'll see any save opportunities this year. not so with colorado and baltimore...

Good point on Balfour. He's usually pretty lights out on era/whip so I figured he would help the cause but another starter would help the cause on K's and wins.

Any other rising SP stars you'd take over Davies?

I have 5 points to make here.

1. He was brilliant last outing

2. He was on most people's radars in the preseason

3. He's facing the Indians

4. He has minor league succes

5. HE'S FACING THE INDIANS

If you don't intend to keep him, Id atleast spot start him. I did in all my leagues.
