Who to drop for Aaron Hill? WHiR

Postby Magnus_CA » Mon Apr 13, 2009 3:22 am

I've got a sneaky suspicion Aaron Hill is going to finish a better option at 2B than my current option in Jose Lopez. I could also use the depth since it seams like every year I finish way behind in games at my infield positions. I want to drop someone for Hill but who?

My expendable list includes -

Jose Lopez (although nothing wrong with having depth at 2B)
Cameron Maybin (I know, I know, but he's my 5th OF)
Chris Ray (Not a closer, yet)
Kenshin Kawakami (picked him up as a spot start but perhaps he could be more than that?)
Armando Galarraga (Looking more and more like the real thing)

I suppose I could do nothing but what fun is that?

Thanks for the help. Leave a link and I'll help you in return.

2 thoughts here:

1- drop Ray. no guarantee he reclaims the CL role (he already got touched up in 2 out of 3 appearances) & in a 5x5 u prob dont count Holds, so i dont see any real reason to hold on to him...

2- drop Maybin. if u can only start 4 total OF on any given day (with 3OF & 1U), then seems pointless to carry 5 OF in a league where you have limited bench space.

me, id feel fine dropping either of them given ur roster & league setup. or, and this is a wildcard, try trading Ibanez for a CL & then drop Ray 4 Hill

hit back please

Drop Ray for Hill for sure. Start Hill over Lopez, doing the same in one of my keeper leagues, have Hill in my other one but also have Pedroia. If it wasn't for the concussion last year Hill would prolly be a top 6 2B

Either Ray or one of your extra starters. I agree with your view that Hill will outperform Lopez this year.

Good luck.

i still think Ray is going to take over the closer role so my vote is for Kawakami. Although I would be OK with dropping either of these guys for hill.
