B.J. Upton is coming off of the DL tomorrow. Who should I drop? I'm thinking Sonnanstine.
I personally like having more P than hitters. So if your like that I would drop Schafer. I mean is he gonna play with BJ on your team? But if you want to keep the bats than Sonnas is good
I could play Schafer at Utility when Upton comes back. I guess that brings up the question would you rather have Schafer, Mark Reynolds, or Justin Upton. I read today that Justin may be headed to Triple-A soon if he doesn't start hitting.
or if u like carrying extra pitchers rather than extra bats, then drop Schaffer (i think he topped out at like 10-15 HRs/yr in minors, so doubt the homers will continue) or J.Upton (seems he needs some AAA time to hone his talent)
me, i drop Sonna
fellow BJ owner in same predicament, hit back please
Sonnanstine is a perfectly fine fantasy pitcher, but I think you could replace him very easily.
In my annual group of redraft owners, there's a guy who treats our leagues like keepers. He drafts and overdrafts for Hughes, Maybin, Snider, and a whole host of prospects/youngsters every year, and while he often gets the breakouts (he had had Braun from day 1 of that season), he gets a lot of variable production, too, and rarely wins. I'd look for that guy in your league to sell Schafer high. If you get a price like he's going to good all year, you've increased your value and taken away your risk.
