You have 4 guys who are top 50 players..Wright, Berkman, Markakis, Kemp. I see Cano bouncing back. Burrell is what he is..average drain but contributor in power. You'll be fine.

The week can only be summed up with one thought: get ready for fantasy football.

I mean, really, not every week can reflect what a player's season infers on paper. That goes for the likes of Bonifacio, Lind, and Inge and that seems to go double for guys like Fielder, Rollins, and Kemp. If you're worried about how your team produces on a weekly basis, you really should be sticking to roto.

BTW, in my three-plus years around here, I can't recall a time where I've seen so much panic within the first week of the year. It's not unusual to see, but it seems there's much more of it than usual. Anybody feel the same way?

For every owner who feels terrible about their team after the first week, there's another who feels great only to have their fortunes turned around so quickly. I've been in first place after a month only to see injuries down me down to the middle of the pack.

Kind of, not to the ridiculousness extent of the original poster, but I see it sometimes. I dont panic until June, then if Im not where I think I should be then I trade a couple of players for the categories I look weakest in.

I see a lot of Chris Davis panic, I made a couple comments like "he looks lost" or "I wouldnt be surprised if gets sent to the minors for a couple weeks" (which I wouldnt be) but I wouldnt call it panic since he isnt on my team...Im assuming the Chris Davis post is what are referring to?

Dude you will be fine. 1 week. Sucks to see your stars suck. But believe me; that nucleus has produced before and no reason to expect it wont again. Be easy ;-D

its the ebb and flow of fantasy baseball. I feel bummed also but I have to keep the following in perspective. Braun and Soto will produce. Taveras will steal plenty of bases.Cano won't hit .545 the whole season.

I think the reason for early panic is that the first week stats are all we see. Once its gets into the meat of the season a small slump by the team isn't nearly as noticeable.

I guess I know what you are saying. Its just that I was expecting my big guns to produce and they didn't. Therefore I am panicing a little. I don't want to overreact but the teams that are in front of me were not supposed to be doing as good in the categories that they are. I need to keep in mind that they won't keep up that pace and my guys will produce their regular stats.

No, it's not just the Davis thread, but also threads like this, Carlos Lee going 0-for-8, or panic over Lincecum's two starts, and yes another Chris Davis thread.
