Monstrous Trade (reyes, Votto, A. Ramirez etc)

Alright very very big deal in the works. Need your advice. 6x6 H2h (OBP and Shutouts).

I give: Reyes, Carlos Lee, Greinke
I get: Aramis Ramirez, BJ Upton, Joey Votto

My thinking is that Reyes is expendable with Rollins on my team. I think Votto and Upton could have huge seasons. Also, I think 6x6 slightly favors hitting because no one really gets any shutouts, which makes it seem like a 6x5 league sometimes.

Thoughts?

Reyes AND Rollins...jeez! BUT, I think Reyes is SUCH a monster elite player, that you are giving too much. I think you could get more in return for Reyes...maybe shop him to the dude with ARod? Yeah, I can't see it being in your favor this way.

Interesting. I'd stand pat more or less because Reyes is a safer bet than Upton. However, I do think A-Ram and Upton are worth pursuing (especially with A-Ram being a nice upgrade over EE), though I don't think this is quite the trade for you.

Well, I pulled the trigger. I do understand your precautions. I think this is one of those high risk/high reward type trades. If my predictions are right, and Votto and Upton explode, then I think I get the better of this trade.

But I think another part of this is that I value Reyes lower than most people. Realistically, he is an asset only in SB and avg. His power numbers are quite paltry. I think Upton is a better bet for a 30/30 type year than Reyes.

Definately high risk. I think giving up Reyes was too much, and even if Votto puts up huge stats, his value isnt all that high because 1B is absolutely stacked. If Upton and Votto both do well then I would feel pretty good about things though. Thankls for helping me out

Bump. I know I have answered a lot of people's threads with a WHIR in them...

I don't like it. You are getting good value but Reyes and Lee are outright studs and consistent studs with that. Greinke is coming into his own too so I think you could get more for what you would be giving up. I would stand pat for now.
