This is far from official, but my league likes it. I give out a "manager of the week" award for the manager that got the best stats for the week from guys on their bench. Week 1's winner had Nyjer Morgan and Bonafacio sitting on his bench.

That's really interesting.... Kinda throw it in ur face award! I like it. Where is your fantasy league? I have espn and i wonder where i can check their stats for ppl that were on their bench instead of everyone in general
We're on yahoo. I just kind of scroll through the weekly line-ups and see who was sitting. Like I said, it's far from official or scientific, more just me giving people crap.
This is an intersting idea. I like the most stats out of your bench idea. Pretty funny. I would think in a h2h league, with a substancial pot, you could set aside weekly category leader money. Maybe for most HRs, SBs, Ks and ERAs for each week. Throw $5 or something into a pot for the manager who accomplished that feat. It would diminish the champions take home, but give each owner something to shoot for.

I'm in favor of anything that gives people incentive to keep playing all year. In our league, we also have a prize for the "most improved" team from the all-star break to the end of the year. Whichever team (other than the top 2 that already get paid) gained the most roto points gets their league dues back.
On the ESPN trophies page there are 5 different colored banners. I have made 5 different weekly awards as follows...
1. Big League Chew: Best Record for the Week (Tiebreaker- ME) 2. Bush League Award: Worst Record for the Week (Tiebreaker- ME) 3. Going, Going, Gone!: Most HR for thr Week 4. The Wheehouse: Best Team BA for the Week 5. K Machine: Most Ks for the Week
I also assigned the first two banners with "stars." You can assign a number amount to the "stars" and ESPN keeps track for the season. The more banners you get the better your trophy standings are.

Hope that helps...
For #3 and 4- Where on ESPN can u see the weekly HR total? B/c i can see where u can get a total but that probably includes bench ppl as well right? & Where can u see the team BA?
Since I am using a H2H category league...The HR totals are on the Scoreboard. I just take a look at the scoreboard and see who is ahead at the end of the week in each category.
