14 team, just made some trades... Miggy, Wright, Utley WHIR

This is my REDRAFT money league.

I've started off the season trading agressively, and this is how my team has ended up so far. OF and pitching are my shallow spots, however I feel they are the easiest spots to grab whoever is hot.

Leave a link! ;-D

Is this a keeper? If so Daniel Murphy is pretty good to have. I think your team is pretty solid and your right OF is your weakest spot, but your right when you say that could easily be fixed. I'd check to see if someone like Randy Winn or someone of his caliber is on the WW and he would be a nice add in at OF. You could trade J Lopez because Im sure someone out in your league needs a 2b and you do have the best one in the game already. Gregg might have lost his closer role last night, so that maybe no good for you :/. i'd shop Lopez around and see what you can get in return because he's not doing anything for you on the bench and he's never going to start over Utley.

No, not a keeper. This is a Redraft league.

Any other opinions?

you need pitching and one OF. you dont really have any guys to get you saves. I think that I would float one of your big names out there and try to get a 2 for 1. Like your batting but your pitching is going to struggle as is.

You're heavy on pop, light on speed. I'd try to move Lind while his value is high. I don't think his track record projects for him to come anywhere near his numbers over the first week. Personally, I'd try to move him for a speedy OF or a SP.

Keep scouring the waiver wire for pitchers. Your RPs are tenuous, but I use a similar strategy of loading up on offense and finding saves in mid-season. Scott Downs and Chris Ray are guys I'm keeping my eyes on. Villanueva (despite recent his blown save) may see a lot of saves this year as Trevor Hoffman is older than Father Time himself.

Help me out:

Hey there, you have some promising players on your team however I would look to trade Steven Drew for either an OF for a SP. Drew is a big name player who has trade value based on last years performance. I think he will be fine this season but I also think that Peralta will put up numbers as good or extremely close. Shortstop is a tough position to fill and in a 14 team league i'm sure a lot of teams have very low level players at SS. Since you took 2 solid shortstops you can certainly afford to deal Drew. Some possible guys you could trade him for: Billingsley, Felix Hernandez, Ryan Ludwick, James Shields, Torii Hunter, Scott Kazmir, etc.

Help with mine?
