Bad etiquette or good strategy?

I'm a long time fantasy player but I took on a head to head league this year for the first time. Is it bad etiquette to sit guys in order to control certain categories towards the end of the week (ERA, WHIP, AVG) or is that just part of the strategy? I'm trying to win obviously but I don't want to be cheap and annoying to do it, ya know?

If its a H2H league that allows daily changes and you have nothing to gain (can only lose stats) by starting certain people why wouldnt you.

thats a reason why many H2H leagues are weekly.

Some people might get worked up about it but I wouldnt worry!

Does the answer "All of the above" work? Yeah, its a legit strategy, but much like streaming some people will consider it bad etiquette.

There is no problem with this. I assume you mean to maybe bench hitters on Sunday night when you see you've got all the stats & don't want your BA to go lower and potentially lose....

Then benching someone because they have a bad matchup for the week would be the same thing. Whatever the league is, play what gives you the best chance of winning, no? Thats the way I see it.

Late week strategy based on what categories are in play is about the only thing that makes H2H worth playing.

No problem with that strategy at all, unless there are minimums that you would fail to reach by doing so.
