Dukes - Full Time with Milledge Demotion

This guy is a key bench player on a couple of my teams and I didn't notice a thread on him yet for his groin injury.

OF Elijah Dukes tweaked his right groin as he fired to the plate on the final play of Friday night's 6-5, 10-inning loss to the Braves. Dukes, who fielded 2B Kelly Johnson's base hit but couldn't throw out OF Jordan Schafer at the plate, limped off the field. The Nationals didn't know immediately how severe the injury is.

Any add'l info would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking of making a couple of key adds and between his:

1. Starting the season on the bench
2. Over-crowded OF in WASH
3. An injury a week into the season

...he may be a target to drop.

This is what would be refered to as early season panic. He probably won't play for at least a few days, but unless he goes on the DL, which I've read no indication of yet, I'd wait unless your in a shallow league. He's 4/11 with some walks so he should get a decent amount of playing time when healthy. Ultimately it depends on your league. I have him myself, and I'm not panicing yet. There's no FA in my league with as good a shot at a 20/20 season.

2ndly, Nats sent L.Milledge to AAA today leaving DUKES as the probable everyday CF. grab him while you can.

Yeah - I decided to calm down over the weekend and wait - and then he actually started on Sunday, proving that the groin injury was actually minor. Now this - I'd like to think this thread was what gave him that nudge he needed to take over the FT CF spot...

Dukes, due to speed Francoeur has more power and could possibly hit better, I think Dukes and Milledge are very similar, but due to their temperments, Milledge will probably sulk the entire season, Nats may need to trade him
