I won't pretend like everyone should be fully up to speed on the Rockies player development, or even be knowledgeable about the organization's prospects or everyday players. But please, calm down, there are numerous "upset" posts about Rockies personnel moves already, but there are very good reasons why things are the way they are. Why certain players did or did not get playing time, why catchers like Torrealba play over Iannetta (handling the diversity of our pitching staff), why Seth Smith or Clint Barmes ever starts over Ian Stewart (defense), etc. The main point is to have patience and to realize that the only way an organization such as Colorado is going to compete is to carefully develop the homegrown talent and to take the small steps necessary to obtain all the pieces of the puzzle. The answer is not to simply plug in the 8 best power hitters into the lineup to increase fantasy stats and have an exciting day at the park. The key is to win games. It seems obvious to a follower of the team - over time things will work themselves out.
PATIENCE - we are 5 games into a 162 game season.
