1st Waiver Priority for Inge?

Postby bjmacdow » Sat Apr 11, 2009 6:23 am

I don't know why; but someone picked up Inge and then dropped him. He is sitting on the WW. I am already on my second catcher this year going from Chris Ianetta to Jarrod Saltamochia (sp?!). Is it worth spending the #1 Waiver priority on Inge and getting rid of Salty or would you save it for something else and ride out Saltamochiquea. Thanks for you assistance. Please leave a link and I will help you out!

The upside w/ Inge is... how can he do any worse than last season? I think playing 3rd should help his numbers but not enough to burn your #1 waiver. I'd wouldn't be surprised if he's still available after he clears. Be patient, the seasons just started ;-D

no way. 1st WW is for someone better or at least has 20 HR potential :) I know not having a catcher sucks, but salty plays in TX and even at 50% PT, he can be effective

I would go back to Iannetta personally. I think he finishes with the best #'s of the bunch.

I wouldn't waste a #1 ww on Inge. If you want him, I'm guessing he clears. It's so early in the season that it's likely an impatient manager will drop someone way better than Inge who is slumping. Best to hold the #1 for that kind of situation.

Good luck!

I agree. I wouldn't burn my #1 on Inge. He's sitting on my league's waiver wire too and no one has grabbed him. Hang on to that #1.
