I was just wondering how some of you guys go about getting your closers. I am in a 14 team league and I'm thinking I shouldn't touch a closer until the 5th round unless it is Gagne, Foulke, or Wagner falls to the third, or Rivera falls to the 4th.
My league is 5 x 5.

There is always a handful of good closers available. If you feel there is about to be a run on closers then draft one. I don't think a closer is worth a high draft pick. The potential for injury or replacement is too high. My plan is to draft a committee late in the draft. Last year I drafted Koch when there was a run on closers, but picked up Carter from TB and MacDougal from KC. They gave me better stats than Koch and I was able to trade MacDougal while he was still a hot property. I also picked up Marte from CHW for WHIP and ERA and got a handful of saves there too.

some of the highly underranked closers u can steal from unsuspecting owners are benitez, rhodes, and joe nathan as well.... if ur a major risk taker, robbie nen and shawn chacon should fall very late and can pay off nicely this season.
