Who do you think will have the better year? I need a 5th outfielder with speed and average.
I think either way you look at it, Fowley is the better option. For two primary reasons:
one, he's going to get more at-bats. The cardinals outfield seems too crowded for Rasmus to get more than 400 ABs. They already have Ludwick, Duncan, and Ankiel, who have all already proven themselves. and two, Fowley is going to bat lead off while Rasmus seems more of a two-spot hitter. Fowley will get more ABs, batting lead off for the potent Rockies offense.
Schafer's power came from HGH in the minors so its tough to say how much power he has. On top of that he is batting 8th in the order, strikes out a lot, and is terrible against southpaws.
But playing time aside who do you think will put up better numbers this year? This is what i think, but you fantasy gurus will probably know better than me:
Dexter Fowley .280/.340, 95 runs, 7 hrs, 70 rbis, 20 sb
Colby Rasmus .276/.315, 75 runs, 16 hrs, 70 rbis, 15 sbs
Jordan Schafer .279/.301, 65 runs, 15 hrs, 48 rbis, 20 sbs
what do you think?
