Is it H2H? If so, it depends on how the week is turning out. If you've rolled with Verlander in his 1st start, you may already be hurting in ERA and WHIP.
He's scary though. Verlander has nice career numbers against Texas. What will he give you? He could come out and do really well - I still think he's a quality pitcher who's still young and has been tinkering with his mechanics. It wouldn't be at all unexpected for him to pull it together. Or he could get shelled again. Personally, I'd like to see a solid game from him before I'd start him on my team. That is, if I had anything to lose (if I was way behind in ERA and WHIP in H2H, I'll start anyone who plays for a good hitting team and can get some Ks)
