Markakis/Cruz for Haren/Quentin HELP! WHIR

Postby tribefan08 » Fri Apr 10, 2009 8:37 pm

My team is in the signature.

My markakis and Nelson Cruz for this guys Quentin and Haren?

I think its a SOLID deal, but the thing is am i selling high on Cruz and making a good deal or am I losing out...? I like the idea cruz has power and speed or at least enough to steal 10+, which is an area I am weak...

So far this week my offense is blowing the roof off, but its H2H and it will be up and down... I'd like another SP and Haren would be great, but the fact he's usually a better first half pitcher than second half (when i'd need him in H2H the most) kind of worries me...

Thoughts....

I'd do it. You're getting a top 5 quality pitcher in Haren and you're still getting a top OF in return in Quentin.

It depends on your pitching staff, really. If you have other big-timers, I would pass. If you need the pitching, then I like the deal.

I do KINDA need pitching, but then again I dont?

we have a 32 inning minimum in our league, 20 cats total, 10 hitting 10 pitching.... it use to favor hitting because one of the pitching cats was CG SHO's which was a once a blue moon category, we replaced that with QS's, so now SP has more emphasis. I am a little power hungry, so Quentin would be nice, but i'd be dealing quite a bit of power in Markakis and Cruz? Plus those two don't steal alot of bases, but they're gonna steal 20 combined at least, and Quentin might steal 10? I am shy on SB's already....

To me its kind of a toss up and I love my offense being stacked, just looking for some opinions....

based on the league settings does that make a difference? I believe they're listed in the sig too......

Outside of Beckett you're thin for a 12 teamer, and if you do this then you have 2 top 5 pitchers IMO, so I would do the deal.

yeah I might try and just trade for Haren so I dont have to give up two offensive pieces.... I have a man crush on Markakis so i'd probably try and sell Cruz high for Haren and hope he doesn't make me look like a fool at years end by going 40/20 .280 LOL

thanks for helping me. i guess for me it depends on how much more scoring emphasis is on hitting than pitching. if your league is weighted toward hitting, i wouldn't trade both guys... maybe offer cruz for haren like suggested. however, cruz is showing a lot of power. would you rather have him or markakis??
