Dice-K for Cano WHIR 100%

Postby Hit Factory » Fri Apr 10, 2009 10:31 am

Hey there, I am in a 5x5 12 team roto league, I have Dice-K and I really regret drafting this guy. I think he is going to get shelled this season and I want to make a trade for a solid infielder. Robinson Cano, imo, will have a huge season and should fill in my weak infield. What do you guys think? WHIR 100%

Here is my current team:
Posada
Dunn
Kelly Johnson
Khalil Greene
Youkilis
MI: Mike Jacobs
CI: Alexi Casilla (Cano would take his spot)
Sizemore
BJ Upton
Carlos Lee
Dye
Util: Kendry Morales
BN: Hank Blalock
BN: Cust
BN: Juan Pierre

Hamels
Billingsley
K-Rod
Kerry Wood
Cain
Slowey
Randy Johnson
BN: Arrendondo
BN: Pelfrey

Some other trade ideas I had:
1.)Dice-k for either: Perlalta or Furcal
2.)Dice-K and Dye for Cano and Granderson (this trade would never happen but it would be sickkkkk)

Based on his season last year you can get more for Dice-K. Roberts or Phillips. You could even deal him for possibly Jose Lopez and another player. I rather have Jose Lopez than Cano. He's going to have a big season.

I'm not a fan of Dice-K either, but I highly doubt that you can get Philips or Roberts for him unless you package someone else with Dice-k. I think Dice-K for cano is fine.

It's worth a try the guy was 18-3 with a sub 3 era in the AL east. I'm not saying its possible but it's definitely worth a shot. That is why I threw Lopez out there. I'd rely more on him than Cano since he has the physical capabilities as well as his head in the game. Cano dogs it 24/7.
